My mother is now attending a wonderful Alzheimer’s Adult Day Care program throughout the week. I’m getting a brand new start at working online, building my brand of one.

I spent a couple of hours yesterday planning ways to monetize my , even though I won’t actually put this into practice until the last step.  This is covered in Day 4 of the SBI Guide

“Good fortune happens when opportunity meets planning.” – Thomas Edison

As I began using the search tools, I initially felt a little concern because I wasn’t seeing alot at first, then I calmed myself down by remembering that my business coach already confirmed that my site topic (which focuses on caregivers using music and other therapies to nurture themselves, the loved ones they care for and entire family) was rich with possible ways to monetize when she did a little research for me earlier on.

So I continued researching, and soon hit the jackpot$$$!

SBI! Site Build It! - Show Me The Money!

I printed out a monetization planning sheet and included the following great ways to create multiple streams of income (Yep, you were right Malika!!)

  1. Google AdSense ads
  2. Affiliate Marketing (everything from Brain Fitness Products to Music (audios and videos) to Music Therapy Instruments to Exercise DVDs to Books and more!)
  3. Multi Level Marketing (from Discount Programs that save money on benefits and services to Whole Food Supplement Products and more!)
  4. Joint Ventures with common themed site owners.
  5. E-goods (e-books)

And the cool thing is, I’m sure they are additional ways to monetize that I have yet to discover.

My research for my site topic is very heart felt because just the information itself is educating me about how to be the best caregiver I can be to my mother, while still taking good care of me and my needs, and still being the wife and mother my family deserves.  So as I’m learning and living the experience in my personal life, I have this AMAZING opportunity to share with others, help them along their journey, while developing a profitable business.

I’m no longer focused on how challenging the journey is, I’m focused on all the blessings.  And there are many.

Beyond the day to day caregiving and planning for long term care for my mother (and the rest of my life), nothing would please me more than to be able to take her and the family on a well-deserved vacation of a lifetime.  What a great experience that WILL be for her and all of us.

I truly believe with SBI! and my heart for what I’m doing to serve my mother and family and others, it’s not “if” it’s only a matter of “when”.

I was also greatly inspired the countless SBI! success stories.  If they can do it, I know I can too!!!

And the journey continues….

Time Flies When You’re Learning Something New and Exciting

For the past 12 weeks, I’ve been enrolled in an online eLearning course with SBI! (Site Build It!) We met every Tuesday evening at 7pm for 1 ½ – 2 hours (teleconference call and webinar style training) to learn about and begin implementing strategies to build a thriving online business.

What is the “it” in Site Build It? For each person it’s different.  For me, it’s owning and running a successful business that I’m passionate about, yet doesn’t own and run me… true freedom.  And of course, a great income with multiple streams that gives me and my family the means to have more choices in life.  I love the idea that I can create a business around MY passions, serve others, and prosper financially.

SBI’s mascot is the tortoise.  And even though I knew this, I found myself wanting to rush the process to produce.  That is after all, how I’ve been programmed.  Fortunately I’ve settled in for the long haul so to speak, now working more consistently than ever, understanding that things will unfold naturally as I continue to take consistent action.

We had 5 students in the class, including myself, and our experienced, knowledgeable, encouraging SBI teacher, Mike Logan.   Some were experienced with online businesses and others were complete “newbies”.   (I guess I’m really more of a newbie too – no shame in that… even though I’ve been running a business online for 5 years).  It became very clear that there’s a whole world of info and way of doing business that is completely new for me.

Over the past 12 weeks, we learned about:
